POST-COVID 19 PANDEMIC SIDE EFFECTS ANXIETY AND AYURVEDA

 WHAT IS ANXIETY?

Anxiety is not a disease but we can consider it as a health issue because directly or indirectly it will affect the health of a person. Anxiety is nothing but a state of mind that occurs because of stress and tension. It is a feeling of fear, pain, and when a person does not feel comfortable in any situation.
In this situation, most of the time person starts sweating and can also fasten the heartbeat. Being nervous and tensed is quite common in anxiety. These situations occur with just a state of mind, whenever someone is tensed of something that tension can be from some office work that is a professional issue or any exam for a student or maybe something else which creates tension in mind.

    1. Being panic very often on small – Small things is one of the most common symptoms of Anxiety.
    2. Sleeping Issue – If a person finds it difficult to sleep peacefully then it is a clear sign of anxiety maybe it is not true always but there are chances.
    3. Fatigue – This is also a common symptom, if a person always feels tiredness even without doing some physical work then this indicates that something is wrong.
    4. Not stay calm – A person who is suffering from anxiety will not remain calm and quiet easily because there are thousands of things that will run in his mind all day and night.
    5. Feeling cold is also one of the symptoms and along with that feeling numb, tingling in hands and feet.
    6. Shortness of Breath and Breathing faster – Whenever a person takes too much pressure or tension of anything, he or she will automatically start taking a deep breath which leads to shortness of breathing, or maybe sometimes start breathing very fast which seems as if they are having problem in breathing and that shows the level of anxiety.
    7. Fast Heartbeat – If there is nothing to be worried about and still the heartbeat of a person is not normal and heartbeat is shaking more than normal then it can give you the indication of anxiety.
    8. Dry Mouth – It is also one of the symptoms of anxiety and dry mouth develops by breathing through your mouth which is obvious when you intake air only through your mouth then this will lead to dryness of the mouth.
    9. Vomiting – A person suffering from anxiety will very soon feel vomiting whenever he is panic or tensed about something, on the other hand, a normal person does not face this problem and this difference indicates it to be a symptom of a serious health issue and that is anxiety.
    10. Muscle strain – Anxiety can easily lead to muscle pain. Muscle pain is a common issue in people who are going through some stress or anxiety.

AYURVEDA

According to Ayurveda, anxiety is categorized in manas rog and the reason behind this is an imbalance of Vata dosha. The nature of Vata is light, mobile, and dry. If we consider ayurvedic science then Anxiety means excess Vata in route of mind and that is Mano vaha srota. Pranava directly affects the nervous system and weakens the nervous system and causes mental imbalance. Along with that it also weakens the neuro-hormonal system and nerve impulses.

It is very important to overcome stress and anxiety otherwise it can lead to a serious health issue or it may damage mental health also. There are various ways by which you can manage anxiety bad stress levels.
