What are Skin Rashes?

 

Any area of skin that feels irritated or swollen that area of skin is refers to rashes. There are various types of rashes. Some rashes are itchy and by itching that skin surface, those rashes appear red. On the other hand, some rashes also lead to the blister of raw skin.
Skin rashes can easily change the color of skin and appearance of skin especially in case of itchy rashes. There is not any specific skin area or surface where rashes develop the most. Sometimes they may be limited to a particular body part or sometimes rashes may spread all over the body.
Rashes seem to be normal or not so serious issues but rashes can also be a sign of serious health problems. So, never ignore them.

As we have mentioned above that there are various types of skin rashes, it all depends on the reason or maybe the reaction of some diseases that who will suffer from what kind of skin rashes. Most of the common symptoms of skin rash after Covid-19 recovery are changing of skin color and swelling of toes and this swelling of toes in covid-19 patient or even the person who recovered from covid but suffering from this issue that is known as Covid toe.
If we talk about the data regarding people who are facing this health issue during covid or even after recovering from covid-19 then the data is around 8.6% of people face the problem of skin changes, 6.7% people face the issue of body rashes while 3.2 people got rashes on hands and feet.

SKIN RASH CAUSES

Various reasons cause skin rashes from being careless in hygiene to many other issues that can cause this problem. 

Bacterial Infection – Skin rashes may cause by bacterial infection and if we talk about specific bacteria then, gram-positive bacteria Staphylococcus and streptococcus species are two major bacteria that cause skin rashes and such type of infection is pustular.

Fungal infection – Infection caused by a fungus can spread very easily and this is also one of the reasons cause skin rashes. Commonly they spread in the gym, pool, and also by other family members. But sometimes fungus infection does not penetrate deep inside the skin layer but only remains on the upper surface.

Parasites – The infection caused by a small mite-like spider is known as Parasite infection and this may result in skin rashes that cause skin redness and itchy.

Excessive usage of Soap – We think that if keep washing our hands, again and again, this will help us to protect from dirt and skin problem but sometimes this habit can be harmful to you. Because excessive usage of soap can harm the hydro-lipid covering of skin surfaces. 

N95 Mask – There is no doubt that N95 masks help you to protect from coronavirus but it can also be the reason for covid-19 side effect for the people who use it for a very long duration such as, in hospitals, medical staff has to wear it for the whole day and it can cause acne, and dermatitis and pigmentation of the cheek, chin and in the nasal area.

SKIN RASH SYMPTOMS

Various symptoms show that you should visit a doctor before something went wrong. Skin rashes are not a big deal to the health and they may lead to something serious. So, never ignore any symptom no matter how small or common the issue is.

  • Sore Throat – It sounds weird that skin rashes can also be related to the sore throat but yes, there is also a type of infection that develops in people who have a sore throat and it is recognized by red rashes all over the body or maybe at some specific body part.

  • Joint Pain – There is a kind of rashes that are known as interstitial granulomatous dermatitis and this occurs with rheumatoid arthritis and arthritis cause joint pain that why joint pain is the sign of skin rashes. These rashes are painful and very itchy.
  • Animal or Insect bite – Most of the time insect bite causes nothing just a little bit of discomfort that’s why most people ignore insect bites but it is so true that some insect bites may lead to death so never ignore this and apart from that, if not death then insect bite may also cause infection or skin rashes.

ACCORDING TO AYURVEDA

According to Ayurveda, the main reason behind skin rashes or such type of skin problems is an imbalanced diet which means not consuming a proper meal. There is no doubt that healthy food leads to a healthy life and to keep the digestive system strong it is very important to consume healthy food.

Ayurveda states that the imbalance of three doshas that is Vata, Pitta, and Kapha can easily lead to many skin problems. 

  1. Vata – Skin disorders that are affected by Vata are skin dryness and because of that dryness skin appears rough and it causes crack on the skin surface.
  2. Pitta – In Pitta skin disorder is redness, and it feels like if the skin is burning, pus formation and all this can lead to fever.
  3. Kapha – Skin disorder causes because of Kapha lead white discoloration itching and inflammation occur in this one also.
